Off to the printers!

Hello Backers!

First off, we hope all of you are doing well. This year has been a roller coaster in more ways than one. I hope everyone is safe and that cool heads are prevailing.

Our last update was back in the middle of the quarantine, and we had been discussing doing another project update but held off for a simple reason: there hasn't been much to share. Thanks to COVID, and then some personal family troubles, most of the production came to a screeching halt. 

Luckily, most of that seems behind us for now, and we are moving full-steam ahead to get the Christmas Adventure printed and out to our backers! Fortunately, we built in some breathing room on production, so we can still deliver our Kickstarter by November.

But, by Kickstarter law, it would be criminal of us to update you and not share a new image. While everyone was locked inside, we worked out the final packaging for the adventure. We are going to shrink wrap the book and the maps together along with a back cover page that describes everything inside. TJ worked away at it, and we now have a final back page to send off to the printers! Take a look below.

Set the Spirits Free!

We have some great news to share today: the final model for the Christmas Spirits is complete! The Spirit of Christmas Past took some extra effort, but we could not be more pleased with the result. The dress and the stand-off base for this model especially caused some concerns, but we have test printed it and are finally happy with the end result. Take a look below at our collection of Christmas Spirits.

With the collection complete, you should have received an email from BackerKit that new downloads are available if you opted-in for the spirits. For versatility in 3D printing, we have included different versions of the Spirit of Christmas Past - a complete design as well as a collection of pieces so that the base can be printed separately if desired. 

Coronavirus

Like most Kickstarters at the moment, we have felt some impact from the spread of the Coronavirus. Our original supplier of model material has been shut down for an extended period of time, and this has caused us some delays in getting the physical models fabricated. We have decided to change material suppliers due to the fact that our original supplier is still unable to tell us when they could deliver our materials. To ensure that we give the best quality models to our customers, we will be performing some testing on the new materials to make sure that they are up to our standards. We are hoping that this does not cause us much of a delay, and we will keep you posted on updated delivery dates in the future.

Updates

Soon we will be issuing an updated version of the Adventure for digital download through BackerKit. Some of you have provided great feedback, and we have made some minor changes based on it. This updated version is also the version that we will be using for the printed copies. 

Next up, we are focusing on getting the final pack of miniatures completed. We will keep you in the loop as Tiny Tim, the physician, and the creature are modeled. Stay tuned!

Into the thick of it

Hello, wonderful backers! We are well into the wild future of 2020 and things are starting to move. We have not disappeared but have merely been working quietly to get the physical project out to all of our great supporters!

First of all, we wanted to get the Pathfinder 2nd Edition conversion to all of you through BackerKit. It took us some time since none of us have gotten a chance to play Paizo's new system yet, so we needed it to be checked by those who have. The conversion will be posted to BackerKit within the next couple of days, and you will receive an email from them when the file is ready to download.

Now, for the most important part: the physical adventure and maps! We have finally gotten a chance to talk with our friend, a tabletop store owner with years of experience in the industry, who gave us some guidance on manufacturing and shipping. With this new knowledge in hand, we should have a good handle on getting the deliveries to you with as few hiccups as possible.

As excellent side news, we will also be able to offer A Christmas Carol Adventure through local game shops! We are aiming to have them on shelves sometime before next Christmas but, of course, only after they are delivered to all our Kickstarter supporters first! For now, we just need to wait on the proofs and orders through the independent distributors.

Our digital artist has a busy schedule but has carved some time away, and we can happily share an image of the 3D model for the Spirit of Christmas Present.

As a final reminder, if you have not filled out your Backerkit forms, you don't have much time left! Please take some time to fill out your BackerKit order so we can make certain to get all our orders filled. If your survey is not completed soon, you may have a delay in getting your rewards.
