Howdy Christmas Carol backers! We want to share with you a few updates now that the campaign is nearing its final days!  And share a peak at the Spirit of Christmas Past's art.

It has been a whirlwind of a weekend for us here as we put the final touches to the Adventure and simultaneously prepare for the next stretch goal, the inclusion of the 3D printed miniatures!  We have been super excited to bring this to you and cannot wait to see what you think of them.

Recently there have been questions as to how close we are to our next social stretch goal, and that's a pretty good question. The answer is actually less than 100 shares away from unlocking the NPC Expansions! Once that is hit we will send Josiah back to his writing basement and make certain he doesn't come out until he has filled out the town with the poor people who live under the thumb of Ebeneezer Scrooge!

Just as a heads up, if you who enjoyed Josiah's fireside chat (hi mom!) and like listening to podcasts then you are in luck! If you wish to hear the guy who ripped off Dickens talk about how the adventure was made and this Kickstarter launched then you can listen to him yammer on at the Love Thy Nerd podcast this Wednesday. The LTN guys were incredibly gracious to sneak our kickstarter in and we look forward to hearing the podcast!

Finally on a side note, both TJ and Josiah live in the USA so things might be a little dark on the news front latter this week as we celebrate Thanksgiving with family, friends and far too much pie.  But we promise to be back once the holiday has passed. Until then enjoy a sneak peak at the artwork for the Spirit of Christmas Past! Happy Thanksgiving!

Second stretch goal unlocked! The gift of printed minis revealed!

Pathfinder 2nd edition conversion is UNLOCKED!

Well, 5e might rule the lands, but there are many different systems out there!  Josiah is a big fan of the work Pazio has done with Pathfinder and has been eyeing the second edition for some time now.  Today that vague dream has come alive!  We will add a supplement with all necessary information to run the adventure in the Pathfinder 2nd Edition system.  This includes converting all monsters, traps, and challenges to the Pathfinder system.

With that out of the way, we are VERY excited to announce the next stretch goal.  3D printed miniatures!  We have long-wanted to offer the Scrooge and monster miniatures printed out for our backers. We held off at first due to the financial concerns and with this being our first Kickstarter, but, if we can reach $12,000, then we shall throw caution to the wind and march forward with table miniatures -- just how Charles Dickens would have wanted it! If unlocked, we will create a new tier that includes the physical models, or you will be able to add them on in the post-campaign survey.

With another unlock complete, there is much to discuss and even more to look forward to! Which version do you prefer, 5e or Pathfinder 2e? Will you be upgrading to the miniatures?

Time for a social present. Stretch Goal Unlocked!

Howdy, Christmas Backers!  We're happy to announce we just reached our stretch goal for the Town Expansion.  We now will need to send Josiah back to the basement to keep on writing!

With this stretch goal, GMs will have an easier time integrating the game into larger campaigns.  We are looking forward to hearing about what everyone does with the town of Grace in their campaigns!

Next up, we need 500 shares to unlock the next stretch goal, Town NPCs!  Because what is a town without people to populate it?

A ghost town... that would make it a ghost town. Someone stop Josiah from writing a western with the Spirits of Christmas.

A Present for everyone! First stretch goal unlocked!

The pre-generated heroes are UNLOCKED!

We will now send out pre-generated heroes to all our backers!  For those who might not know, pre-generated heroes are characters that come already filled out with all the stats, abilities and skills any hero needs.  This is particularly useful for players that are new or just showing up for a one-night Christmas adventure!

With this stretch goal under our belt, we would like to hear some ideas for the heroes in the comment section. There is the possibility that one or more of the ideas will be included in the adventure, so be creative and have fun!

The next goal on the horizon is the Pathfinder 2e Conversion. We are big fans of many different RPG systems, but one we have always held a fondness for is Pazio’s Pathfinder system. So, with enough backing, we will add a supplement pdf with all necessary information to run the adventure in the Pathfinder 2nd Edition system.

Hmmmm, what is this I see in the distance? It that a new physical reward?

We funded! Break out the egg nog!

Well, this is a thrill! We honestly didn't know what to expect once the project fully funded but got to say... feels good!

To say we are a bit busy is an understatement! TJ actually put in about 60 hours in the last 4 days and is now comfortably passing out, and since his wife is the copy editor, that means Josiah can post anything he wants...

More importantly though, with the funding goal behind us we can now move onto our favorite part of Kickstarters: stretch goals! First and foremost is a request for something simple yet crucial -- the heroes themselves! At $8K, we will include a set of 8 playable characters from a variety of different classes and backgrounds. Especially useful for the one-shots and new players, this will make the preparation of the game as simple as a quick readthrough.

We still have many surprises and fun things in store including more digital and physical rewards. Please share our project with the tag #ChristmasCarolRPG to help us keep the momentum going!
